In the rolling foothills of Oregon’s coastal range on the western edge of the Willamette Valley, the Dusschee’s were early explorers in this part of the valley. This set of rolling foothills starts with Amalie Robert’s estate just above Freedom Hill–which itself wraps around Croft–with Erratic Oaks forming the lower boundary. In 2022 the zone’s application for Oregon’s latest AVA was approved owing to its discrete distribution of soils and ridge lines that foster a slightly warmer microclimate.
